Katy’s Nightime Skyline?

Tonight I’m sitting in room 1406 at Texas Children’s Hospital, listening to my little girl sawing logs after a trying day fighting pneumonia and an ear infection, along with both the fever and the sweats. During the day you can watch all the busyness down below on the streets, as the cars, trains, buses and pedestrians make their way to wherever they are heading, paying little attention to one another. And since I fancy myself somewhat of an amateur photographer, I snapped off a couple of shots through the misty, rainy soaked windows that adorn my room. That all cleared up by the time the sun went down, and after playing with the dials on my camera I figured out how to fire off a nighttime shot that looked halfway decent. It all got me to wondering. The Katy Area Economic Development Council tells us that the Katy area is one of the fastest growing areas in the state. Paving the way is Commerical and medical development.

Area 36 Remains Strong

Despite negative reports to the contrary, the Houston real estate market has remained strong. Area 36 (Katy, South of I-10) has remained the strongest MLS area in the city to be exact.

Lexi takes a slide.

Just when you thought she couldn’t outdo herself, our little girl Lexi took her first slide today, and in the process discovered static electricity. Who would have ever thought a plastic slide in a public playground would be the psuedo-electrical equivalent of rubbing an inflated balloon on your head?

It’s Wednesday. Seems like Monday.

“Woke up. Got out of bed. Drag a comb across my head.”

Don’t know that any other song out there quite captures the feeling of a Monday morning when you know you have little to look forward to. Especially since it’s a Wednesday. Now normally, I’m not the type to complain, but this afternoon’s weather has me feeling a bit on the sluggish (and mind you, lazy) side. To top it off, every time I think the weather has let up enough for me to escape to the warm, dry place I call my vehicle, down comes the rain again.

Tigers down Jersey Village 5-2
